When I got back from an extended trip I found that the front passenger side door lock wasn't unlocking on the second blip of the key, so I thought easy, whip it out clean it, lubricate, replace .......easy my ars,,,,,,,,,
Well to get to the lock you have to remove the inner trip, which is fine, but then you have to remove the window and frame, oh well, has to be done, so I removed all the bolts shown in rave - but the dam thing still wouldn't shift - I thought maybe a bit of corrosion, so we lubed - wriggled - pulled - nothing, check back to the RAVE instructions several times to see if I had missed something - no I hadn't - then low and behold my son said is there a bolt behind here !!!!
There is was a bloody 1/2" bolt - nothing shown on rave.
Next post - I will add the page out of rave - edited to show where this mysterios bolt is positioned, so nobody else has to end up swearing as much as I did.
sometimes it works out quicker and cheaper....and a hellofalotless stressful to cut the outer door skin....do the repair then send to a panelshop..........
im having fun with my locks on lurch........when i close the doors.....the doors bounce open before
the latch has a chance to latch........and the colder it is........the more they seem to do it......
