    Series cab onto County chassis

I've just bought a Series cab/tray which is very very rust free! I'm just wondering now, what complications are there to bolting the cab and front panel work up to a County chassis??? Or is it very straight forward?

    TIA for any comments!!!

Here is a sneak peak at this stunning ebay barnyard find from Willow Tree NSW.

    Cheers

Should be a simple simon job

The fire wall will bolt up the same tho the inner guards on the county are seperate to the outer you may have to ad some of the mounts from the series body work to bolt it up to the later chassis but it should all be simple to do

bigger issue with the SII/A cab you have is that it wont meet the ADR's of the county chassis you plan on fitting it to

As mentioned by Sprint, the new vehicle will have to meet all the ADRs that are relevant to the year of the County chassis. As minimum you will not get it registered without engineering and I suspect there will be more to do it.

As above, also note ADR's for the seat belts & mounts.

Are you keeping the County engine ? if so, check clearances around transmission tunnel on fire wall etc.

If using the S2 engine, then watch out for emission control system requirement, front spring rating and tail shaft length due to change on wheel base.

    sounds like fun

seatbelts, door loocks and lock type (anti-burst type locks), the dash would need to be upgraded to county spec because the IIA isnt padded for passenger/driver protection, and i'm not too sure wether the county would have had to apply to passenger vehicle ADR's concerning side impact protection or not, but i can garuntee you that the IIA wont meet that ADR!

can't use a Series II motor - as far as the authorities will be concerned it will be a 110 - you can't fit an older type engine to a vehicle, only newer type. (note I said type, not age)

Looks very nice Simon... Maybe you could leave this one alone and just enjoy off roading old-skool!

Thanks for all of the replies!

So what you're saying is that you can update any part of the vehicle.... except for the chassis?
