Thread: how do I clean the front diff

I topped up the diff oil over the weekend and the oil that came out was black thick and sludgy.

Is there any way I can flush out the diff without taking in apart?

Drain and refill.

Run for a few hundred kilometres and repeat.

Do that two or three times and it should clear most of it.

And when you do this, it might help also if you drain it straight away when you get back from a drive when the oil is warm and nothing has had a chance to settle to the bottom.
