Boil your engine because of a $25 thermostat and pay at least 1.5 grand for a replacement head or $150 for a TM2,no brainer. Pat

I have the the new combo unit... does not have the digital display as I would find that irritating.

    Engine Saver ESTC Page

Very happy with it , great unit - easy to install and works perfectly.

Don't forget Davy does offer a discount to AULRO members as well as having outstanding backup support. (just PM him)

I wouldn't hesitate - it would be the first addition to any new 4by I bought.

As an engineer, I think a more realistic cost is 50-100 beer coupons. There aint much to this kit. A sensor (cost - not much), wire (cost - bugger all), an alarm speaker (cost - few bucks), and a temp gauge (few bucks again - is it calibrated???) ....how that add up to 275, sure beats me..

A Tm-2 will set you back 149 bucks normal retail from Enginesaver or Tm-2
    delivered (calibrated to 1%)

An Engine Saver low coolant Alarm (with purpose made screw in sensor
for Land Rover manufactured in the UK where the vehicle comes from)
will set you back 190 bucks normal retail.

That adds up to 339 bucks

Enginesaver/Tm-2 fully integrated unit is 320 bucks normal price, delivered

The new combined Enginesaver coolant/temp alarm, 275 bucks normal retail price, delivered.

If anyone can please tell me where I can buy all the components, R&D, advertising, manufacturing facilities, labour, design costs, postage etc for bugger all please let me know as we are always looking to reduce production costs and end prices.

In that case ...get on with it and bring it to market....I will have the 1st one at "shall we say" 75 beer tokens........?????

Mine used to do this too. You just need to bleed some air out of the system. Let the screw off a bit upon startup and it should vent the air.

As for the price, I reckon the price is fine compared to cooking your head! And from what I recall the temp sensors are custom made to fit the bleed screw.

I found mine (just the alarm) to be simple to fix. And it has already save my ass once when I split a radiator hose...could have easily cooked the engine.

if you pull the lid off it to calibrate the temp alarm there is abit of stuff in there mine has saved me twice now first was a leaking hose the second was a hole in the radiator both times driving dowqn a highway.

The next new car I get will be getting one fitted straight away.

Gents, take a look at www.nata.net.au for alternative options.

Pricing is a bit steep, but then you get an incredible view of you engine!

    full td5 unit around $550
Water level and temp around $350

I van also supply a standalone water level for around $60

    Cheers
