Oil catcher on rear of LT95

Hello, I have a lt95 gearbox in my 120. My handbrake was playing up and i had a look inside and everything was covered in oil. Now there is a hole in the bottom of boss, just after the rear seal. And another in the handbrake backing plate. Now i have been told that there should be a pressed metal cover the carries the oil from the first hole to the second and so out, avoiding contamination of the hand brake shoes. Has anyone else seen this part on their gearbox? (I suspect that the same arrangement may be on all the LT230 handbrakes too.) I have spoken to some landrover parts people but they seem a bit unsure about what i am talking about.

I have a seal to replace the one that is leaking but i would like to try to preserve my handbrake shoes in the case of another leak.

Sorry no pictures as i have put it back together.

    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Dan.

Yes there is a pressed steel cover.

Let me see if I can find the number.

    This may be it:

Thanks for that. I had a look at the link and that is not the part i am after. The piece shown goes in after the seal and forces the oil to drain out the first drain hole, which would drip straight on to the handbrake shoes.

I have whipped up a quick drawing in paint of what i think is missing. I hope it clarifies things.

He has the number 571682 beside it, can someone verify if that is right.

Better yet does someone have one they don't want?

    Cheers

Dan, My military RPS parts manual shows R571970 for the circular steel ring that goes behind the seal and FRC8093 for the oil catcher that directs the oil to the drain hole.......Brian
