    What motor is it?

    Hello all,

    Can anyone give me a clue on how to tell which motor is in my 94/95 Discovery TDI?

    I need to replace both idler and tension pulleys due to excessive squealing but best I know what to ask for.

    Also Due to the fact that there is no Landrover dealer within huge miles maybe someone can recommend where I could obtain these parts.

    Could be either 200 or 300 Tdi, but since you mention excessive squealing and tensioner pulley, it sounds like a 300Tdi.

    Does it have a flat multi rib drivebelt or a series of vee belts?

    Hello,

    you will have to excuse my ignorance on this, just checked and it has one wide flat belt with grooves and one v belt.

    I am guessing it's a 300?

    SALLJGMF7LA - 200Tdi

    Hi Voltaren, with regard to sources or parts, there are quite a number around the country.I see Rovacraft are supporters of this forum and have a good reputation as well so try them. There may be others. If you read some of the threads you will get a feel for who to trade with. Keep us informed on how you go. Cheers, 130man.

    Well bugger me if it aint a 300tdi. 2 years and I did not have a clue. The disco was made in Nov. 1984

    That makes it a little easier now to source the right parts,

    Clean 32, if you are still watching, I noticed you are from S.A.

    When I first got my Discovery I bought a couple of parts from a business in Adelaide who does the Land Rover stuff, here is the problem, I cannot remember for the life of me what the business was called.

    Is there a chance you might know this business?
