ok, a small update, i'll write more in the thread on gorver in the remlr project section.
I had grover in at my mechanic on friday for a quick looksee, and the end result with regards to the poor running.
Carby was poorly adjusted, but basically, it's dead, needs a rebuild (plus apparently in winder they do have freeing / icing problems down here as well.
coil, almost dead, and dizzy, almost dead.
So, some work and $$ to spend :(
But it's going ok (in the scheme of things) for now.

One other thing to check is the fuel line/ filter. If your filter is 1/2 blocked it will allow enough through to start and run then cut out as supply is restricted. If you have just changed the filter, check the fuel line, I had an old 1980 rrc got a crappy batch of fuel blocked the filter but even after I replaced filter it was still cutting out / running out off fuel 500-2k's down the road as the old plastic line had stayed bent/kinked 1/2 closed both sides of the filter after clamps where taken off.
