    Finding TDC on 300tdi before removing timing belt.

    When replacing timing beltwhich is the quickest way to find tdc? or is it better to remove crank pulley and timing case and then line all marks up and see if pump locks as well as flywheel . Just after step by step procedeure, the Haynes manual seems to be all over the joint with different motors etc , giving me the chits
