    Will a 300tdi bolt up to a LT77 that was once on a 200tdi

    Guys,
    Question.
Will a 300tdi replace a 200tdi as a straight bolt in? or is the bell housing bolt pattern different?

So if i had a 200tdi Fender, will a 300tdi bolt straight in??

    300 Tdi and LT77 Conversion

This guy did it by fitting a 2.5 NA backplate to a 300Tdi. Maybe it might be possible to fit the 200Tdi backplate to the 300Tdi (even with the different rear main seal arrangement?)

Maybe they are wondering "why bother when the torque from the 300Tdi will destroy what's left of the LT77?"

More to the point is "can I bolt my 200Tdi engine to the R380".

Love this comment. On Pirate they would ask 'why polish a t**d?'

    Wise.

Just make sure it is the right R380, i.e. search.

    cheers, DL

    I destroyed an LT77 with a tweaked 200.

Bit late replying to this but yes you can bolt a 300Tdi to an LT77. I have done exactly this. Had a 2.5TD Defender and when the engine went I fitted a 300TDI. I had to change the engine mounts on the chassis but the new ones were very simple. You will find abot 3 of the holes will not match the Lt77 Bellhousing but I just left them out. It been in there for about 3 years with no trouble.
