    Installing Tekonsha P3

    Hi All,
    I own a 2000 D2 Auto.
I am about to install a Tekonsha P3 Electronic Battery Contoller.
I am wondering if it would be safe to connect positive and negative wires to my auxilliary battery (Run from a Traxide SC80 controller). The battery is in the engine bay, passenger side rear.. The reason for this is purely that it is a lot closer to the EBC and therefore easier to connect to.

    Thanks,
    Dave.

The short answer is NO !
It can be and would work ! But due to the fact that it is a safety device if anything was to go a miss with your dual battery system or for an emergency you switched back to a single battery system you would loose your brakes on trailer / Van !
The same is recommended for your lights / Driving lights ! Try and keep the dual battery for axillary power feeds such as fridge or radios !

    Cheers
    Jeremy

    Hi, RonB.

Yes, you are right. Should be brake controller. I guess I'm not perfect after all.

    Dave.
I used to be nearly perfect - but I was conceited.

However, now that I have overcome my conceit..........
