    Nanocom Discomap in Defender

    Hello,

this is a question from Germany, so sorry for my bad english....

In my Defender TD5 i´m using a NNN500020 ECU with a file from a Stage1tuned-Discovery. The file was originally from a NNN000120-ECU. I read it out, cutted out the fuelmap of the Nanocomfile and pasted the fuelmap in a Defendermap with an Hexeditor. I build a new checksum of the whole file and wrote the whole file on the NNN500020-ECU. Also the injectorcodes, the 2-way-throttle-poti... to this part - everything´s no problem.

The engine runs great with no engine problems. (on a test machine 158HP)
    But my problem is:
    1. The watertemperatursign goes the wrong way. It starts in the middle and goes to left.
    2. The ETC control light - lights permanent (but there are no failures in ABS and ETC - both work fine)
    3. If i make a recording of my fuelling with Nanocom, Nanocom gets the wrong signal for road speed - the half of the real road speed.

So I think in the part of the fuelmap, there must be some parts, which tell the ECU that it is already in a Discovery. The settings of my NANOCOM-file are from a Defender, i only changed the fuelmap-part of the NANOCOM-file.... The fuelmap i have changed, has the same size as ROVACOM-fuelmaps.

Could everyone tell me which bytes I had to change - to make my Stage2-tune run without problems on the Defender?

    Thank you

    Best regards from Germany

    Lucky

    Hello Lucky,

Have you resolve your Map Fuel problems since last summer ?

I can help you if you answer me.

I have a lot of experience in Defender tuned maps, and because i compare Discovery and Defender maps (there is many differences).

    Greats.

    Fred
