    Thanks people

I like the idea of airbags, I have given my mate the details of some LR mechanics in brisbane to talk to. Will post some photo's if it ever gets of the ground.

    Cheers and thanks

He likes the defer 90 look, the utilitarian styling but is not that keen on high 4WD in the city. The 4WD ability is wanted but not to the same degree as a standard defer. Basicaly he wants a defer 90 that is the size of a car, with car wheels

With that being said how would you (with enough coin) go about doing this?

I am thinking airbag suspension like D3 so it cane be lowered but with 'car' wheels? This would mean gearing changes would it not?

Thanks people, I know it is not overly Landroverly like but it would be an interesting project though.

Thanks in advanace, look foward to seeing some suggestions.

    Cheers

    QLD modification rules are here:
    http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/reso..._vehicles2.pdf

You are allowed to reduce overall tyre diameter by 26mm - that will probably be based on the tyre placard, not on the sizes the 90 comes with in the UK.

You are allowed to reduce suspension height by 1/3 of suspension travel. This is commonly considered by the powers that be to be 2"

So - if you do it legally, you can reduce the height by 2.5"

Might be easier to buy a forrester or outback???

City bound posers driving pimped out 4wds...
Just the ammunition the anti-4wd brigade loves

Why not go all out, leave LR to do what they do best and do something like this.....

    6.00 R 16 are 28" overall..?

My TD5 with the 31" road tyres is painful to drive on the highway. imagine with 6.00

They can be supplied with the modern equivalent which is 205 r16. No profile designation so assume full height which is generally 85%

    That means they are 29.7"

Mine on the road even on 33's has **** gearing. hence why the chance of me fitting 4.11's is absoloute zero
