We are talking D2 arent we?
With engine running: engageing diff lock will show engaged light on dash and while ABS and TC are still enabled.
With engine off or any restart with diff lock engaged, dash will dsplay engaged light and ABS TC warning. TC and ABS will be disabled and you will now 4wd only with out any electronic aids for traction or braking.
If your diff lock is engaged but no light, then maybe some connectors are loose, dirty or broken wires. This actually isnt a problem as the computer wont know you have the lock enaged and continue to offer TC and ABS.
The only catch is you wont have a dash indication for CDL, but that lever poking out of the tunnel is a pretty good clue anyway!

- More water will get in through the door seals than through a 10mm hole with a rod through it in the floor. I kind of figured that if you are in that deep, maybe you should be in a boat
Thats my excuse & I am sticking to it.
