it could also be a collapsing flex line down near the slave cyl.
Hi, i bought a '95 v8 (petrol) disco earlier this year. it's maiden off-road voyage was to n. stradbroke island in qld. i was very pleased with it's performance in the sand, but one thing that happend that i'm not entirely sure about...one day we took it on one of the few inland tracks of straddie (which is pretty easy-going), and then down the beach...the clutch gradually began to spring back less and less, until finally, when we got most of the way down the main beach, the clutch would not spring back up at all, and i couldn't put the car in gear. i looked under the car to see if i was losing fluid somewhere, and it looked all good...just when i was about to start panicking, one of my friends reached down and pulled the clutch pedal back up. it started working normally again, and i haven't had any problems in the past 6 months of driving around (town mostly). can anyone explaing what happened? and should i be worried the next time i go to the beach, or just plan on having to pull the clutch pedal back up by hand every once in a while?
