    EFI injectors, what pressure?

what pressure can the standard 3.5/3.9 injectors handle?

my pressure reg is weak and only giving 28pis at idle, should be 30-40psi and not blead back.
ive attached an aftermarket rising rate FPR and have it at 60psi drives bloody great no hesitation anywhere, but i think some of the injectors may be leaking causing an erratic idle.

    cheers phil

usually the max pressure for generic regualtors is 45-50psi. (which is about 60-65 psi absolute)

Stupidly high performance injectors will clear 200psig.

but at that pressure for a petrol injector splitting the hairs over psia and psig is a bit pedantic.

The stock Lucas injectors are rubbish.

Toss em out and get the Bosch yellow Generation 3 units from the Mustangs etc.

I did a post with Mike90RR on this and all the info is in the post below.

Really???? I got better starting, better idle, smoother power, a fraction less pedal requirement, a definite improvement in low down torque and now all my plugs are identical colour and not sooty.
It's the spray pattern that makes the difference with a much finer mist opposed to the Lucas unit.
The intake walls of my heads showed quite clearly where the Lucas ones were washing the sides. Since changing, the washed areas are now darkening up again from PCV mists again.

    Cheers
