Buzzing is good, even the quiet ones have been known to be faulty, depending on the kind of failure. Blockages tend to be noisy, just plain worn out brushes in the motor can sound like normal, just low on output/ pressure. Noisy pumps can also be fine, just having air in the system makes them noisy too.
