how noisy is too noisy for Td5 fuel pump?

Hi - a few threads on fuel pumps, but just a general reference to them being noisy and 'screaming their tits off' when on the way out. Mine isn't shouting its mammaries off, but I can hear it buzzing when standing at the rear of the vehicle, even with motor running - I'm assuming you shouldn't be able to hear it with motor running even when standing at rear of vehicle?
Always looking for creative new ways to get bogged... :whistling:

Buzzing is good, even the quiet ones have been known to be faulty, depending on the kind of failure. Blockages tend to be noisy, just plain worn out brushes in the motor can sound like normal, just low on output/ pressure. Noisy pumps can also be fine, just having air in the system makes them noisy too.

I had a screaming fuel pump for ages, I fixed it accidentally

I replaced the sensor on the end of the fuel filter
