I think there is only the rear door.
Anyone know what panels are interchangeable between D1s and D2s?
Reason being is rebuilding the D2 wreck is an option. Will know just how viable when I pull the front end off.
Just keeping options open as to what will fit if I find wrecked D1s.
Cheers

the back door is the only one which will almost fit (with a fair few mods). All the side pannels are different, as V the groove on the D2 is much larger. The rear 1/4s are longer, and the bonnet has a different front edge to suit the mudguard profile. The headlights are the same, but d2s have a black background, the grill will fit, but it is different...... in all, there isnt much the same.
Oh, the bonnet hinges are the same, and so are the roof rails.

As above. Although styling is very similar, they are quite different vehicles, and almost nothing is the same and only a very few bits similar enough to be interchangeable.

It is strange how small difference there is. The Series2 Disco door seals fit the Series1 - there are only a few mm difference in length, but the doors are not interchangable.
The tailgate door seal is identical. The rear door opening seems the same and the tailgate door would probably fit except for the lock that is. (the rear door glass is different between the models)
All other panels and glass are different. Strange items such as the front door winder mechs are the same between the Series2 Disco and the Series1 from mid 1995 onwards.
Bumpers, bull bars, rear bumpers, tow bars are all different between the models.

I suppose the other part of the question is that whilst things may be different would they fit? for example would all the d2 front panels bolt up easily to the front of a D1, can seats, dash, carpets be interchanged? (not that I want to do it)
Thanks guys. Thought that may be the case.
Was just thinking what I could do as D1 panels seem a bit easier to get.
