Okay well I managed to stop the shaft spinning by using the rag trick mentioned....Ended up ripping the top of my granddads wooden bench off. That mofo nut is tight. Was using a Elora 3/4" drive Rachet with another 1.5" spanner on the end of that, still wouldn't budge.
So I went and searched for an impact wrench at Supercheap and it turns out they don't have them. So might just take it to the nearest engineers haha.
I actually tried bunnings but all they had was 1/4 or 3/8" drive wrenches, that could only manage 100nm - whereas according to the manual this sucker nut is done up to 220nm..
