    Olympic Tyres

    I would like to know where i can purchase a set of Olympic steeltreks? Also is there anywhere i can get info on size, radial, price?

    They cost a fortune new, for a crude all rounder tyre. Have a look at manheim fowles auctions, they dispose of the Defence force second hand ones. Plenty of them go up for auction in Brissy.

    They are a 7.50 R16LT, Steel Belted Radial, tubed tyre
    I don't think they can be fitted on a rim any wider that 7.5 - 8 inches wide.

    Have not seen them or othe Olympics in years. In the early 80's they used to be the best tyre on the market.

    Isn't the "Olympic" brand one of the Pacific Dunlop products no longer in production since the joint venture with Goodyear called "South Pacific Tyres"?

    Do we actually make any tyres in Australia anymore????

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
