Hi all,
After having a play in my 1998 Defender today I was driving home on the highway when I heard a sound like a stick flicking up and hitting the floor under the drivers seat, I thought nothing of it until I went around a round a bout and heard a loud ticking sound shortly followed by the transfer case sliding into neutral. I got underneath and noticed that the forward drive shaft can be twisted slightly by hand. I drove off again and it was fine until I started swerving or turning corners where it would slide out of high into neutral.
Does anybody know what the problem is likely to be???
