All over the 90mm carapace minimum
Largest about 120mm
Caught plenty between 80-89mm but all went back for next year
Not the best haul but good fun for the kids
Good time for me to relax[emoji481][emoji481][emoji481][emoji481]
The young fellas have started their barra season off OK. A nice jack, too.Attachment 158190

what do you do with a fish that big?
is it a trophy?
None of my fishing mates, or I, 'Trophy fish'. Most are catch and release but we will keep a feed for ourselves. No freezing kilos of fish for this little black duck. Fresh is Best!
The Spanish in the photo went to a good home/homes. [thumbsupbig]...............no cig. either, from testing.
That would have been one hell of a good work out. They are speedsters plus. Spaniards are sweet eating. Fully agree fresh is key to great fish noting a very cool Catalyst ABC show on King fish sashimi which had my jaw dropping. Kingfish on this years must do list.
Worth watching except we cannot do this at home.
You made me hungry!
A nice, healthy specimen. I dropped a snodger, which would have been half as big again as this one. 20lb line and myself were not up to the task of handling a large flatty, a strong tidal run and a lot of rocks.
The lizzie in the pic is back in the creek too, as was over the max size limit.
