Looks er nice,, any chance of a vid to explain what bits actuall move? (its very early, no coffee yet..)
I recently fitted one of these Aussie made and designed boat latches to my boat and trailer and WOW, What a fantastic bit of kit.
Usually I struggle getting my boat onto the trailer and 1.5 tones of boat is a bit of a bugger to winch up.
I have Never driven a boat onto a trailer before and I found it to be easy peasy with the boatlatch clicking into place and holding the boat for me.
No more busting a gut or getting a drenching when launching or retriving a boat for me now
Has anyone else fitted one of these or simmilar devices to their boat/trailer?

Not sure if this is the exact one,, there's a few available, but it'll give you an idea of how they work anyway.
I've seen them in action, and a brilliant piece of kit especially if your in fast moving currents. At Inverloch in Vic, there's a ramp which can be a lot of fun to watch guys trying to load their boats when the side currents going full tilt. The guys with these latches on, take all the fun out of it
The one in the left han image is the one I fitted.
It is basicly a spring loaded hook fitted to the trailer that snares the large eye you fit to the front of the boat as you drive the boat onto the trailer.
I tried it again yesterday but with a combination of a 20kt sidewind and me being a complete novice at driving boats onto trailers I ended up using the winch after a few failed attempts which was embarrassing as there were a few other boaties at the King Ash bay boat ramp watching.
Never mind with some more experiance I will nail the technique of driving up the trailer, eventually

I have seen quite a few on larger boats up North, around Lucinda. The first time I saw one in action I was a fair way away from the ramp and it had me bamboozled for a while on how a bloke could retrieve a 25' boat so easily on his Pat Malone until I wandered over for a chat and a sticky
I wish they'd been around when I had my 6 metre Sportfish!
