UK Fishing Series with Bob Mortimer & Paul Whitehouse

There's a fishing show in the UK that's been running for a few years and a couple of episodes have now made it to YouTube.

It's Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse (both comedians if you haven't heard of them) on fishing trips around the UK.
Bob had a triple heart bypass and to get him 'out of his shell' after he recovered his mate Paul Whitehouse started to take him fishing. Bob isn't a fisherman but is a good laugh.

They fish at some fantastic locations and stop in some brilliant accommodation.
Basically two mates getting away, having a laugh and occasionally discussing heart health (Paul has also had heart problems).

There are a few episodes of Series 4 uploaded onto YouTube, here's one Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing S04E01 - Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing Season 4 Episode 1 - YouTube

While on UK fishing there's another series I've been re-watching, recorded on VHS when I lived in the UK, transferred to DVD but available on YouTube.
It's called A Passion For Angling and features Chris Yates & Bob James.
Chris was long time holder of the UK largest Carp record, dresses in 'period' attire and uses split cane rods & centrepin reels while Bob is a bit more 'normal'.
    They were both angling journalists.
    Here's one A Passion for Angling - Monster Myths 06 - YouTube

Another good UK one (in it's day) was Go Fishing with John Wilson. He ran a tackle shop in Norwich where I shopped in years gone by.

I'm sure I have most Series of Go Fishing on VHS !

I hope this is of interest to some of you, very different fishing compared to here, plus us Poms hold rods correctly.

    Received Series 1-3 for Christmas.
Big focus on heart health, healthy eating & getting old.....plus they did a fair amount of fishing.

In some episodes they had brief interviews with visitors including Fergal Sharkey (campaigning for protection of chalk streams) and Bobs heart surgeon, they reenacted his heart surgery on a table in a pub !

Great fun, great scenery (bringing back memories of fishing in the UK).

Happy to copy, sorry loan, the DVD's if anyone is interested.
