Had a nice day out on the water today, caught nothing but weed, drowned my jeans (they needed a wash), got sunburnt to buggery and I'll sure be sleeping well tonight but had a nice time.

I thought it was time I replaced some of the images that vanished from my earlier posts.
These are a few of the kayaks and a canoe I have built over the last 15 years. All except the double are my own design.
I have caught fish from almost all of them. My last catch (and release) was a good size bream caught from the canoe.

Well we have had something very different for many years. On the Gippsland Lakes (300 odd sq km’s) there are some really classic wooden cruises and yachts.
Ours is a 1922 fantail launch built for the Belle Vue guest house in Lakes Entrance.
Has run a 3 cyl Perkins cast iron motor since at least 1965 and we are not sure how long before that.
