I thought it was a Stone's Mac.
You could buy Stones green ginger wine, or the Stone's Mac was the same green ginger, which had whiskey added.
Was given an old Chivas Regal last week. Might give it a try tonight.

Sounds like the same drink, although according to the Stones ginger wine bottle it's called a Whiskey Mac.

Happy Hour tonight is brought to you by Captain Morgan! I first drank this in 2003 at the 1 pound pub on the Isle of Man. There were turn styles at the door that cost 1 pound and all the drinks were 1 pound. A friend and I drank Morgan and Coke all night and loved it! There isn't another dark rum I like. They taste horrible to me. But Captain Morgan's spiced rum is delicious!! I'm having it with dry ginger ale.
Cheers everyone. :D

Very nice, a top drop
Rebellion Bay is very similar, I'd wager better.
I only just got home, beer and a pie for dinner then bed!
Not really a mixer myself, prefer mine straight up, but Judo's and DMs two drinks sound interesting, I do enjoy an Irish hot whiskey if I'm not feeling the best, good for the effects of a cold or for those very cold nights.
1 fluid ounce Jameson Irish whiskey(do not use Scotch)
2 teaspoons raw sugar(I prefer one teaspoon of Honey)
1/4 slice lemon
7 or 8 cloves
1 cup of boiled water
OR this method
Ingredients
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 shot of Irish Whiskey
- 1 slice of lemon, cut in half
- 2 tsp of raw sugar
- 1 Star Anise pod
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- Boiling water
Method
- Pour a shot of Irish whiskey into a heat proof glass or mug.
- Stud the lemon slice with cloves, and place in the glass along with the cinnamon stick and star anise pod.
- Top off with boiling water, and stir in sugar until dissolved.
- Sip slowly until all stress and tension is dissolved.
- Again I prefer Honey
Then there is this

Baz.
I know Dave is online tonight and possibly with drink in hand... What are you drinking Dave?
My g/f Elizabeth made me this Apple Martini (Appletini?). She squashed fresh apples through a fine cloth to create a potent pure fresh apple juice.
2 shots Gin
2 shots Freshly HAND PRESSED apple juice. :p
Tasty. :D

:lol2:
Fair enough, you don't want to push things too early! Can't complain with chocolate cake either!
We used Bombay gin. I've only recently got into Gin and I've found Bombay to be my preference. We also have Tanqueray Ten but I find it very "floral". Not sure how to describe it... Too much flavour? :p
Sounds like you've got very similar tastes to me, Justin. Bombay Sapphire is one of the few gins I can drink (Gordon's and Beefeater in particular make me ill!)
Friends of ours back in the UK used to make their own sloe gin. That was very nice.
