Hi this thread will be a great help Fot DIYs. I have just repaired a park actuator the problem I had was finding the brake cables, I finally sauced an after market set from the UK with the cables came the plastic gears for the actuator for $140Au, when I fitted the cables they were ok except the retaining cerclip at the backing plate end were about 1cm to close to the outer cable end and when installed engaged the brake shoes, that then fouled the disks from fitting, the fix was to leave them off, the plastic gears fixed the actuator which would have cost $1700+gst so if you know we’re I can purchase the originals please let us know as they are not sold separately from the actuator.

I tried to order parts from Rimmer Bros today but their web site kept changing the country in my address from Australia to the UK at checkout. Consequently the postage was wrong and the prices included VAT. I gave up in the end and concluded I would have to ring them in the evening AU time.

After reading comments here I then tried LRParts.net. They had everything I wanted. Prices similar to Rimmers but they didn't charge VAT because it was an export order. They also offered DHL Courier for shipping and said parts will be despatched within one day. The only issue I found with LRParts was that searching for some parts using a description such as "lr3 4.0 litre v6 drive belt tensioner" didn't yield the result I was looking for, so I found the part number via a general web search and once I put the part number into LRParts search field it showed the part I wanted. Rimmers didn't stock any of the parts I needed themselves and said they normally ship from their supplier within 2-3 days.

I looked at their site recently and prices look good but need to get a shipping quote before iplace an order where as Advanced Factors you can add items to your cart then at checkout it gives you the shipping cost.

Calculated at checkout? , I better have another look.

I've aleady got my delivery from lrparts.net
My order was dispatched in less than 24 hours after ordering and it was on my doorstep 5 days later. I feel the parts could have been packed better but they all arrived undamaged. Impressive service!

Shipping came up for me immediately as well - but it changed my country to the UK! So the shipping charges were obviously incorrect.
I tried multiple times and although my address country was defintely entered as AUSTRALIA, in the ordering process it changed it to UK .

EDIT/PS: I'm talking about Rimmer Bros - is that who you are talking about?
I had no problems with Lrparts.net

I've also had good results from LRparts.net, I got an OEM headlight for the L494 for 600 pounds delivered, a vast improvement on the genuine price, also ordered a misting sensor and had it arrive a week later.
