    Zinc replating bolts and nuts

    Hello from Sherwood.

I was wondering if anyone around Brisbane is set up at home for replating nuts and bolts off old bits of machinery or their trucks.

I’m working on restoring an old Villiers Mk12 engine and was hoping to clean up about half a dozen of the original bolts, nuts and washers. That’s not enough really to warrant going to the trouble of setting up a plating system at my place. I’d go out and buy new ones but they include BSF threads which are hard to locate.

Any help there would be appreciated. Otherwise, is there a commercial operation in Brisbane that would economically replate such a small consignment?

    Cheers,

    Neil
