    Bonsai- Tree - torture

My son brought a bonsai for my wife last year. Almost made a whole year!

Spare bonsai pot had me grabbing a cheap small fig. 75% removed from the top and 25% from the roots plus a little thinning

Youtube was my friend for the how to guide

the top trim made into six cuttings as a back up in-case I stuffed it

My mum thinks bonsai are crimes against trees Tree - torture. My usual non colour specified thumb is not from my mum who has a colour specified Green thumb

Lemon Thyme ground cover I put in a year ago is doing very well so perhaps the cracks have appeared in my non colour specified Thumb

    Ficus-Culture

    Heh James,
    nice work with the bonsai.
As viticulture is to a grape vine, think of your bonsai project being as Ficus-(fig) Culture.
It is just another way of growing the Ficus.
Viticulture is a noble art - Ficus-Culture is also one.
    best wishes with the project.
