A rearward facing starter means the box was fitted to a 4H series engine. It would need a bellhousing swap to fit a 4B series.
I can give you some measurements for the input shaft to compare to what I have. Hopefully they didn't change that for the 4H also.

It's not as easy to get those measurements as I'd thought. My spare gearbox is still buried in a shipping container from my last relocation.
But I get 167mm on my solidworks model from the front face of the gearbox (i.e. excluding bellhousing) to the front of the spigot bearing in the flywheel.
The flywheel is 12mm thick at this point and the pocket in the crank is another 30mm deep.
