Thanks Damien, but I finally managed to track one down.
They all look the same, but I was told by Sean at Scrollproducts that he works on +/- 0.10mm when matching a turbine. I reckon there were about 5 shafts in the Mellett catalog that would have fitted in the housing but were outside those limits.
Whether they would still have fitted at 150K rpm and 700deg is a different question :p
Anyway, the VNT is now a project for 'ron. The T25G is all plumbed up to get me going for a start.
Currently working on some electrickery bits - wiring up the external voltage regulator, and final wiring for the shutoff actuator.
Yes, its probably from a T3500 as it was definitely Mazda, and they had quite a few T3500's in the yard at the wreckers.
Last night I connected the battery for the first time in nearly 8 months. No smoke :)
Its hard resisting the urge to just give it a flick on the starter now though :twisted:...
Hoping that it will make diesel smoke before Easter.
About time I took a couple more piccy's of the progress I guess.
