Thanks rijidij those thermocouples are something to look out for now I reckon. Have you tested what egt's you get by removing the IC just out of curiousity ? How are you finding the performance ?

I've never run it without the IC, but it would be interesting to see what difference it makes.
I am very happy with the performance, I love driving it, on or off the road.
It'll be good to see what performance figures JC, Rovercare and other's come up with when they get their Isuzu's fully tuned and on the road.......Matt (Rovercare) seems happy to play with his knob.........Oops, I mean fuel screw :D
Cheers, Murray
I am thinking of bypassing it for a test run see what happens...... Hahaha fuel screw hahaha
Just a thought who has the highest egt's on there isuzu's ?
Im running 16psi 400°c after turbo (pre turbo readings this week sometime)
I've hit 900C a few times accidentally. It seems to survive but I don't recommend it.
I run up to 750C routinely.
Dougal yours is 750° as a standard and it hasnt caused any problems :o these are truely bullet proof.... I retract everything I have said about these engines (i admit I was wrong) I am very happy with mine at only moderate tuning :)
Rar110 was it you ruining a gt28 just out of curiousity?
Im curious to hear figures from isuzurover, rangierrover,Dranged,110.9d,justinc and bush65....
Has anyone managed to do a CAD for an adaptor plate to mount a td5 turbo to a turbo manifold ? Like dougal done for the t3 flange
Drove down to rocky a few weeks ago (just before the flooding) and noticed EGT temps rising, so much so that I was throttling back on some of the steeper inclines, to avoid exceeding 750Deg. Put it down to the warm weather, but did notice the slight smell of coolant, which made me suspicous. Engine temps were normal so I carried on as you do. Got to rocky and on closer inspection, an alloy feeder pipe exiting the intercooler had worn through, where it was vibrating against a steel bracket. No worries, just pulled the fuse on the pump, and ran back without the intercooler cooling. I reckon the difference in about 60Deg normal running, but when pushed, makes an even greater difference.
Easy fix when I got home, with a couple of Bearman's rums, delicious, and thanks again.....
