Finally a few pics of the Isuzu fitment to my 85 110.
The Intercooler, radiator and A/C condenser etc were fitted in such a way as to make each one easy to remove individually, to replace the A/C drier and allow good enough airflow. Further pics etc once more nitty gritty work is being done

The absence of the front panel stays is intended, the Intercooler is going to form part of the support structure, with all three units; I/C, A/C condenser and radiator all bolted together and forming a support 'pack' for the bonnet latch panel. Seeing as I will not be using a bonnet mounted spare etc, I have decided to go this way.
The engine bay has only been washed down, it is in remarkable condition really. To go in is a Defender heater box, Defender brake pedal box and booster/ master cyl, Modified V8 Airfilter housing, Safari snorkel, Custom fan shroud, and a few bits of heat shielding here and there.
There is lots more to go and report on, so stay tuned. Still got the Defender dash, Disco1 Handbrake, Stratos Seat, Dual batteries and roofmonted A/C to go also

About time you got with the pics
Just to add a little more info, the radiator has been moved back towards the engine about 40mm, still leaving enough clearance for fan (25+mm) and thereby allowing the Intercooler to take most of the 'load' as it is a Plate core and very strong. The intercooler has 3" inlet/ outlets, and a 102mm hole saw was used. It just started to cut into the back of the headlamp panel, so a little Sikaflex will be required there...

Nice JC... so is the next stage ute-ification
I like the fact that you didnt remove the bonnet just tied it back!
Out of interest, I am looking to run a bigger rad and full size front IC, but no aircon condensor (thats what windows are for)... I was thinking of building an ally framework to house the two units then bolt on the top plate / bonnet latch. I will be keen to see how you fabricate your front end... as such!

Steve, No ute, this will also double as a camper for the other half and I later on. May even go the Mulgo rooftop conversion eventually, they certainly look the goods
The way the 3 units are fitted together at the moment will be way strong enough, but I like your idea of a top plate though.
I think the standard V8 3 row rad will be good enough, and the I/C I have is about the biggest I can squeeze in there. The A/C condenser unit with fans is ex 1995 D1.
Easy to mount up, and a nice quality Denso unit.

Hmmm,
yeah okay. So three row V8 green death holder... I was gonna go that way but couldnt seem to get 3" piping for IC both on the passenger side (300tdi), in particular the lower hose (without hacking the inner guard).
Instead Im going with a 100mm wider than standard 3 core stock 300tdi rad and run the IC lines in the space between guard and rad (similar to allisport setup). Not as much cooling as full width but still ~20% over stock 300tdi. Hopefully okay.
keep the pics coming

Hmmm, tell me more
Just reshape the inner guard I presume for the lower IC feed ducting?
Having said that - I can get mates rate on a custom 3 core (100mm wider than OEM)
and have spare end caps to burn. Sourcing a 3 core full width (v8) then getting the water plumbing adjusted would most probably more exe for only an extra 80-100mm of core?
I like how you IC plumbing has been encouraged through the front guards!
