Well I have now done a run off road. Gearing is quite good. As the gear selection is quite firm, really locks into gear, I see no problems with jumping out. The range rover box I had did pop out of 2nd. First gear will only be needed for crawling over rocks or travelling any were in low first really really slowly. With this gear box you have to select one gear higher than a rover box. So for me it has been a totally justified conversion. Better gearing, better fuel economy, better clutch and a better handbrake.
