    Handy p/numbers MSA 5G conversion

    Hey folks
Just thought someone might need these if converting to MSA 5G box using the truck bellhousing

    clutch fork boot
    p/n 8944599580

    timing cover plug (flywheel housing)
    8941666310

    Gear knob (showing shift pattern)
    p/n 8970986571

Best starter motor I could find for chassis clearance was a Clark Bobcat starter motor from Auto Electrics Australia

    p/n ASDR112473G

    9 tooth
    35mm pinion
    CW turn
    2 bolt @ 120mm

Hope this might help in the future

    Thanks Justin,
Further to those starter motor details:
Is it a gear reduction type?
    How many kW?

2.2kw from memory direct drive but could have a small reduction in the end housing. I will ask the question next week. The RRC will be off the hoist tomorrow and I will start it and let you know how it goes.

Excellent info, I'll patiently await the photos.

My clutch fork boot is ripped, but I also suspect my clutch fork needs work. The original in my MSA-5P wore through and cracked. After welding it up the pedal action improved immensely.

I am using one of The Grubbs kits. Works very well and easy to adjust and modify if required.
