If you can get hold of a pair, front springs from a 6X6 Perentie are the go. Combined with Koni raids they support the front well with bullbar and pto winch.

BUMPING this thread:
I'm planning on a 4JG2T conversion to my 1989 110 V8 CSW.
The 4JG2T weighs 350kgs compared to the 175kgs-odd of Rover V8.
I also have a 2-inch lift with coil springs of unknown origin (could be Britpart, could be OME, I have no idea).
The 300TDi weighs around 205kgs.
So do I use D90 HD rear springs, or fork out for something like the OEM heavy duty 2-inch lift springs?
Are you sure about the weight of the 4JG2? The 4BD1T is 350kg and the 4J engines are a lot more compact.
No, I'm NOT sure.
That's an estimate. Should I revise it down to the 250kg area?
I can't find any Google reference to the weight.
Non-turbo version, but some info here that has it at 244kg.

Thanks Steve! A turbo will add another 10kgs-odd, so 255 kgs will be in the ball park.
Will 180 lb/inch springs still do the job, do you reckon, or should I go for 200lb/inch?
I seem to have bought the vehicle with a 2-inch lift.
I'd have to make some proper height comparisons to be sure though.
