Can't help with the spacer but I run 4:11 diffs on 35's with the Isuzu and its sits happily on 110km/h
Only ever had 33's on the old 3.54 diffs, so cant help on that size.

hi everyone
ihave some maxi drive diffs out of my range rover that im planning to put into my 4bd1t county but ive been told i need a spacer for the rear drive shaft because the rr diff is shorter then the sals diff.is this true?if so how long?
the diffs all so have 4.11 ratio centres.will these be to low for touring and make the engine rev too high at 110km/h?has anyone fitted similar diffs?
the county has a 5speed manual at the moment.and planning to run 33s for touring.
any info would be helpful

I can confirm the rover diff is shorter than a Salisbury, but I can't help with the length difference, sorry. It's not a very common mod (i.e. I've not heard of one before), as salisbury diffs are significantly stronger than rover ones especially in the rear of a 110.
If you do want to swap in your locked rover diff, it may be easier to get a post 2002 Defender rear driveshaft from the wreckers rather than making up a spacer. It should fit right in, as 2003-on Defenders were fitted with rover rear diffs (albeit they were the stronger 4-pin diffs as fitted to p38 rangies).
WRT rover diff longevity on the rear of a 110, there are a number of reports of rear diffs in pumas lasting less than 50k. Not sure if it's due to dodgy setups from the factory or not, but by comparison, I can't think of the last time I read about a salisbury diff fail. Just food for thought.

You will need 35's to compensate for the 4.11s.
Don't change the rear sals to rover - you will regret it.
What's your transfer ratio?
havnt had achance to check trans ratio.where would i find it without pulling box out?its a 5speed man with lt 230 trans.
id like to leave the sals in but the rover diff has maxi drive locker, axles and flanages and it seems like a waste to leave it out.did maxi drive make a locker for the sals?

Previous cruising rpm or knowing the donor vehicle can tell you what ratio is in the LT230.
The t-case ratio should be 1.003:1 - if you are lucky there may be a sticker, otherwise you need to pull the pan off the bottom and count teeth.
Maxi Drive made salisbury lockers. The salisbury is about a million times stronger than a rover diff... It is not a question of if you will break a ring and pinion but when if you tow or go offroad with a rover diff in a 110.
If you keep the sals you can even upgrade the rear axles to 1.5" diameter if you want!!! (As opposed to 1.24"). The sals is the same as a Dana60, which gives you a lot bigger range of locker options.
4.1 Dana 60 or salisbury ring and pinions are readily available also.
