Ok
Basically no low end boost and high EGT, the Garrett seems to be starving. If I plant my foot to the floor it smokes heavily and then leans out as boost is coming on. Only pulls 10psi as I have the waste gate set low to start with. I will do a test with the HP inlet open to air and see what happens. I'm not going to give up yet as I like the idea and it's a bit more unique than most, but VNT would be an option. The LP is a Schwitzer 3LD 229 141 I'll try google later unless someone here nails it.

HP open to air sounds like an excellent first step. That'll tell you if it's being starved of air on the inlet. If it's not, then possibly being choked on the exhaust side.
Do you have room for more guages? Two boost and two backpressure gauges would be perfect.
This is my best result for your Schwitzer source: TractorData.com International Harvester 1456 tractor engine information
If need be I can use my digital manometer at various points. I'll open the inlet today if I get a chance and see what happens.

ps didn't someone on here already have a compound set up running???? or did they just buy it and never used it.
Randy from the US (carcrafter) had his compound Isuzu up and running and laying down silly power. He is still alive and kicking, but laying low on the internet as his ex-wife was causing some problems.
John (bush65) has a Borg Warner R2S setup from a International 4.5 v6 diesel. I'm sure he'll fill us in on progress.
There is a van on 4btswaps with a cummins 4bt (same size as our 4BD1's) with a compound setup using the stock turbo and one only slightly bigger. Information is second hand but it apparently works very well.
What is your wastegate set to on the HP turbo and where is the sense line hooked up to?
Sensor for my in cab pressure gauge is on the inlet pipe to the manifold. The waste gate is sensing straight from the outlet on itself. Will test open to air this afternoon on HP

Thanks guys for the pics...I agree John the shock mounting design as per the pics is what I would like to aim for...
Dranged. When you say low end is gone is it worse than before whilst running the gt2052 by itself ? Also max boost pressure still the same ?
I still recon the gt2052 is too small on exhaust side and ive also noticed that schwitzer's appear to have a large cold side but really are not that big...
However very nice work most of us wouldn't attempt even starting such a thing
aparently he's going to stick a GT2256VNT on it;)
No pear pressure there at all .... Haha
Any pics of the turbo your using Vern ?
