Ah thanks noel, not enough length in the spline for the end float.
Waiting to here back from hy tuff about making these.
Possibly another contender for the dumb wannabe ideas book, but could the extra length be as simple as a short extension of the shaft (say 10mm diam) and keep the spline length the same.
Would be easy to cut/grind to length to adjust endfloat rather than having to deal with the full spline diameter...
Steve
Could be but would be extra machine work, just as easy to cut the extra bit off. But whilst we are throwing dumb wannabee ideas out to **** AM off, could always tap a thread in there and adjust with a grub screw:D.
What do you think Noel, shall I sketch it up?:p
Back to back isuzu flanges with register and mouse holes for nuts +socket. If you take the minor diam of the ten spline there is about 70% increase in size
AM
Did you tap a thread into the input gear or just the shaft for the grub screws?
Plain dowels loctited pressed and safety wired (not shown along with 13mm of neoprene hose for grease seal) between gear and flange

Beautiful work as always :)
Is the shaft a press fit into the input gear?
Steve
Thanks the first 15mm is tolerance the rest + .0035" with loctite 635 slow cure about 20 ton
The dowels not really needed .I suspect if it did spin it would self weld never to move again:(
