Kinugawa and Holset ?
Hi all I've been reading this thread since the start as nobody else seems to have covered it like here . My aim is to upgrade the Mazda 35slti in my 90 as the 38"s need a bit of go ,yes I know its an Isuzu thread but there are many similarities in the two engines .
Original turbo is a hitachi HT-10 but comes with an odd elbow to miss the 90 bulkhead .HT-18S is way to big to work .Went off the vnt route from the posts on here .
The GT2259 won't fit in the space and the HX27W needs clocking and other bits to fit in .
So I decide to go for a Kinugawa TD04L-20T-6 as the Holset H221W is not easy to come by and will not bolt on without extra work .
Well the pictures say it all the genuine cummings /holset flange fits the kinugawa with the mitsubishi core or am I missing something - sorry if this has been covered already .

Whats the best turbo to upgrade a 4BD1T Isuzu engine or in my case a Mazda 3.5 TDi .

I was hoping Dougal might have some input but the threads gone a bit cold now .
But the main point is how to get the diesel hp up from stock with aftermarket products ,as you do ;)

You read the entire thread so you know what the three best choices are for the 4BD1, we are just missing a lot of real life testing.
