My '85 110 seems to consistently return figures around the 10lt/100km (just under 28mpg for those that still use that as their yard-stick) - as long as I keep to 100kph on the open road. Bog standard with an LT95.
26mpg ... or ~10.9l/100km over a few hundred miles on a recent camping trip. 4BD1T w/ LT95 and 235/85/R16 loaded with kiddos and gear for desert camping.

Hercules: 1986 110 Isuzu 3.9 (4BD1-T)
Brutus: 1969 109 ExMil 2a FFT (loved and lost)
Last tank in my rangie, 8.6km/litre (11.6 litres/100km).
All short running, max trip about 13km apart from one jaunt up an 1800m high hill to drop some mountainbikers off at the top.
This is as bad as my fuel economy gets unless I'm towing several ton.
