    Fitting viscous fan to 4BD1T

I want to fit a viscous hub with fan and remove the existing thermo fan setup on my 110. I have all the part numbers to buy the items but is there enough clearance between the front of the engine and the radiator? Also does anyone know if the fan will fit inside the LR radiator shroud?

No problems on mine. The viscous fan is slightly larger in diameter.

You might need to trim a little off the blades otherwise it will hit the bottom of the shroud. As Eric said, the fan diameter is larger. No problems with length as it doesn't have the spacer like the standard one has.

Did you find the viscous made the 4bd1 any quieter? It would be something I'd consider if it helped a little in the noise department.

No in short, my truck doesn't have any carpets or sound proofing so it's too loud to notice any change. It came like that being a truck motor.

Hi, any reason why you are removing the thermo fans? I was thinking of fitting some to mine, was going to measure up and see what common twin fan set up would fit from falcon /commodore etc, thought it might take a bit of load off the motor, maybe a tad quieter, and can set up to switch off for water crossings.
    Cheers, Andrew.

Even though this thread is old, I would also like part numbers.

    Viscous Hub
Isuzu Part No: NG-14055.010 Approx. $330.00 Australian

    Fan
Isuzu Part No: NL NG-14050.019 Approx. $260.00 Australian

    Adaptor Plate
Isuzu Part No: 897 1086430 from memory it was only about $40.00

I got my fan and viscous hub from a wrecker, it worked out considerably cheaper

You'll also need 4 x M8 x 20mm bolts these hold the hub to the adaptor
