Sounds a bit of work that way.

Any gear box that could fit right in without any mods ?

    Or an overdrive maybe ?
No and no. The 6x6 drive sits where an OD would bolt in. With any other gearbox option you have the same problem of what to do with the t-case, as well as adapting the box to fit the engine.

    OK thanks Isuzurover.

Will have to look into it closer then.

    Cheers.

Many years ago I had a Ranger overdrive from the US, this was an overdrive that sat on the primary pinion and the whole gearbox/transfer box moved back about 8 inches, The one I had was for a Land cruiser box, but I've never seen one for an LT95. If you could find one to suit the LT95 primary pinion it would be a design that would not disrupt your 6X6 mechanism although you would have to shorten both rear prop shafts and lengthen the front.

Anybody know if the msa5r will go in place of the msa5g? I understand the bell housing is different due to the starter, but not sure on the rest.

I'm likely wrong, but thought those 2 boxes were the same apart from ratios. The mXa is different though.

I checked yesterday if a adaptor housing for a MXA would fit a MSA gear box.Turns out a simple 6mm thick washer with recess for100mm bearing and snap ring one side and same for 90mm the other side.Turns out the MSA I thought was a 5R was a 5 S wich I had not seen before.
