Pics of finished case and 2 of what I consider the best way of making the drive shaft The double splined shaft a simple replacement except for 1.003 whereas the gear with pressed in and pegged shaft would need the TC out to set the gear preload not that a 4bd1t is ever going to stress the shaft:)
My subscription runs out Thursday and after much thought have decided not to renew I have a pretty busy 12 months ahead and am spending to much time on here:( So thanks to all for help and comments . A great Forum:BigThumb:

Many thanks fellas fortunately not a money problem as some will know I have been building a 45' saiboat for close on 30 years . Two years ago I bought an old defender to leave at the yacht club when the boat was launched the rest is history:( The boat needs to be launched and i spend to much time on here:mad: so many thanks for the kind offers but would appreciate you lot not leading me to temptation :o Like the Terminator I will be back
