Still kind of 'ouch' cost wise but comparable to OE and cheaper than Outback and KLR. The fellow's name is 'Gerry'. Seems helpful. Mine to be delivered next week.
Bugger!
I'm in NZ and I have been looking for a heavier pressure plate. Tried a few clutch places and even Genuine Isuzu with no luck. Ended with BNT ordering one from Xtreme Clutches at NZD$750!
I did see KLRs kit for AUD$900 but scoffed at the price (not to mention shipping). I am interested to hear about this other 1.5T option...
FWIW, my genuine Isuzu turbo pressure plate (275mm) is still going well after 50K kms and a fair bit of heavy towing.
When it was almost brand new I had to change the front seal on the engine. I had to give up on undoing the nut when I managed to get the pressure plate to slip with a 2M piece of heavy pipe on the breaker bar, vehicle in gear, chocked and SWMBO on the brakes . A rough calculation worked out around 1000ft/lbs at the flywheel.
No idea how that compares to the clamp force on these aftermarket HD ones.

I just assumed that the 6x6 4BD1T flywheel housing would have threaded bolt holes where the trans bellhousing attaches. Now I find on closer inspection that they do not...erm... So perhaps foolish question- Anyone know what the size and dimension of these nut & bolt combination is? I'm assuming it'll be metric course thread M10 or better.
I'm not keen on having this project (4BD1T / LT95 130 conversion) knocked back at engineering certification for something silly like this.
The gearbox bellhousing has the threaded holes NOT the flywheel housing. They are M10 X40. 6X6 and 4X4 have the same flywheel/bellhousing arrangement.
I should have hit him up for commission! He seems like he knows his stuff, and it was only talking to him that we ended up with the high clamping force, as at first he could only offer a 20% increase over standard. I told him that wouldn't be enough, he said sorry and pity it's not a patrol cos they go up to 3300lbs, then he realised by chance that the part numbers were the same... After checking all the dimensions, bolt patterns etc he rang back to confirm that they can make up a clutch to fit with 1.5T clamping force. And I'm happy to say it does fit and even feels a bit lighter on the pedal because of the better spring design.
Does it include a new release bearing? The KLR one does.
Taylorslandy, in regard to your comments about a Nissan high strength pressure plate, got any part number?
When degreasing my ABS supplied pressure plate today I had first to remove a sticker. If it weren't for taylorlandy's comment I would not have taken much notice of the fact that the sticker said "P/P Nissan CNI 28101". Not anticipating this is the high strength pressure plate referred to, but interesting to compare part numbers.
