    Hey mate

Receipt is for Autofarm in 2011. I may have jumped the gun on a clutch slip diagnosis! Leaving the property with a small load of firewood the clutch slipped a few times. It hasn't done it since but has started a very inconsistent/random leak from the wading plug. Monday is the only weekday I drive the county, 2 Mondays ago I had an alarming amount of oil after he was parked all day (roughly 100mm diameter) this week only a couple of small drops. My shed floor is hardly Landy marked at all. I make another assumption probably the oil pump cover??? Either way if the box is coming out to repair leak I think It would be best to do clutch, rear main seal etc???
Catch up with you soon Pete

    Cheers

    No worries mate

What did Marty do to fix that oil leak when we did all the work just pre sale?

Master and slave cyl are all ok?

    Fluid level?

Don't know if that affects slip?

    Pete

One thing that will cause slip is if you don't have sufficient free travel at the up pedal position. MC port to the reservoir doesn't open and you end up with a closed system. Heat from the engine bay then expands the fluid pushing on the slave.
Cracking the bleed nipple will release the pressure temporarily but the fix is to adjust the master properly.

    Check the oil filter

I think it's really easy to pinch the O ring

    I thought we fixed that?

Try this link. It's 300tdi but I use the same procedure.

Critical bit is having a gap at the MC.
