Which gasket is it Todd?
Hello all. The saga is approaching the end, but it appears I received an incorrect gasket and need to find the correct one. The manual has the part number noted as "5-11179-075-0", but according to Isuzu USA they don't have that part number. When they cross referenced it and sent what they thought would match it's too big and doesn't match. While the rear crankshaft oil seal is now in and appearing to hold oil just fine I can't get this on the dyno without the proper gasket.
Any guidance on what the correct part number may be, where to source it? I found on an Isuzu excavator site (OTTO EXCAVATOR PARTS CO., LIMITED - hitachi isuzu parts) that they can get it, but want to make sure whether anyone down under has better / more timely suggestions from experience?

Turns out there are two, a rear breather (which I've managed to secure via Patterson-Cheney there) and the other, which when it's cross referenced here we get the wrong size (too thick) is the valve cover gasket. Isuzu US believes this to be an Australia specific part as the one available via Isuzu industrial here is also too thick, though the proper size otherwise.

If you are talking about the rubber gasket that goes under the rocker cover there are 2 numbers depending on whether its a NA or a turbo motor
NA motor part number is 5111730160 and the turbo one is 8944625590

Thank you. Yes, I think I'm after 49-1 in the attached pics. The list shows 2 different numbers for 49-1 and I 1 of them here that came from Isuzu USA and it's wrong. Part# ending 5590 is what I appear to have here, 1/4" thick but need ~3/16 to 7/32 thick.
Should I try Patterson-Cheney on this now that you've helped me sort which one I need?

Did you try that NA motor part number in my post in the states. That engine was used a lot in excavators etc. Surely there must be one there instead of having to import it from here.

According to both Isuzu commercial and industrial, for some reason that specific part number is import only from Australia. They cannot get it here.

Pretty sure this is the one you are after Todd. Let me know if you want to freight it over to you. It's a wedge shaped one which looks like the goods for your rocker cover.Isusu rocker cover gasket 001.jpg
