Pedal to the metal.....most should get over 100 on the speedo.
If you have OEM turbo you can tweak the pump and get a bit more performance.
Mine was always at GVM or over, mostly over. During the bushmaster trials we were running a tweaked pump, 3” straight through exhaust and only one air filter element oh the the air filter housing cover plate removed. It drove way better than a stock army issue. After the trial MAS directed they be changed back to standard.
If you want to site on 100 all day the noise is a killer......90 would be a good cruising speed in civvie life, 80 was painful in convoy. We bent the rulz and free wheeled as much as we could and it would be pedal to the metal normally sitting a touch over $1.05 on the speedo.
Other on here have change diff ratios from memory to drop the revs, keep in mind it will make 1st taller and in some cases will be painful if towing a heavy load.
jam some ear plug in and...pedal to the metal.
Weeds is right. 90 is nice.
80 is better for touring. Gives you a chance to look at the scenery from time to time.
Taking some weight off ARN-202487 6x6 cargo
Have a look here if you want to make a easy ,but strong tow bar for the 6x6 .. My van weight is up there 2600 ? and is not a problem to tow..
Bob...
3.54 Diff gears, 35" tyres, a better turbo, max the fuel pump and an good intercooler, better yet an interchiller and it will tow anything you like, rarely gearing done, comfortably
