    yep, is a Hilux.

But l wonder if they copied the mythical Navara exhaust routing method, thus explaining why Navara's break the chassis so readily LOL

    Here is my dump pipe.

Thanks for the replies. i have tracked down a NPR Turbo sump and cheap so i just grabbed it, not 100% sure if ill use it yet. when you installed your sump did you need to modify or change any thing to do with the oil pump or is it a straight swap?

    Cheers

Strait swap over. I also bought a newer oil pick up/pump (that didn't fit my 1981 motor). I think it would be worth getting the dip stick as well, I'm unsure how they compare.
And a twin filter oil filter housing, that I put in with a nugget adapter/spacer. This doubles recommended oil change kms.
I put on the rubber sump gasket that came with it, but took it off soon as I could not stop leaks. Just silicon now, and no leaks.
If I was doing it again I would put a drain pipe into sump for Pro vent oil separator drain.
Depending on your motor you might need newer rocker cover with 19mm vent outlet.
Don't forget to document and post your build story. I still haven't only because of computer problems.
    Cheers.

That rust indicates otherwise me thinks.
Standard aluminised exhaust pipe, available in straight lengths at every parts shop.

The bodgy job looks like someone scored a cheap V8 Holden and auto conversion and couldn't help themselves.
