    Isuzu remote turbo

Decided to give the Forward Control a freshen up.
Wouldnt mind fitting a turbo. Not much room.
Any ideas on a manifold with a close coupled turbo or ideas on fitting a remote?

MikeVine in Brisbane used to do a remote turbo setup on the drivers side where the upright oil filter is normally. He fits a dual oil filter setup.

I want to put it at the back over the bellhousing.
I dont know whether to join on to the existing exhaust pipe flange, or get a turbo manifold and join to that.
I acquired this turbo years ago for some project but the air in and out look too small for the aircleaner.
    It says GT 2260V
on the alloy is .61 M53

On the steel side Garrett 711099 56.1

    Any thoughts welcome.

I think any turbo that size would be an improvement on a NA motor.

Hopefully I’ll bring the Perentie (turboed) to the 70th and you can physically compare. Brian’s also going. I’m not whether he still has the original T2518 fitted. But that would be another useful physical comparison.

    That would be good.
The one I put on the 110 is bigger on the air side as well.
This little one is about 55mm on the outlet and 48 mm id on the inlet,
I thought about here somewhere. I will have to fab up some kind of mount arrangement.

There was a Turbo Technics (I think) manifold that put the turbo at the rear over the bellhousing. I will have a picture here somewhere, although it's largely academic as they would be like hen's teeth these days.

    EDIT: Found it.

    Thanks. Interesting setup.
    Unusual inlet manifold too.
I have another inlet manifold that is end fed. I saw a thread where someone had converted one like that to a WtA intercooler. I cant use it though, its too big to fit.

I found an old thread where Isuzurover mentioned that Vern and some others are using this GT2260V turbo.
    Are they still around?

Yes, lots of work done on this vehicle. By the looks of it, you'd have room for the KLR turbo setup.

So is that set up a KLR turbo and manifold.?
It might work but the hot air might need to be rotated elsewhere.

Does that tappet cover, cover thing work in reducing sound levels?
I saw one for sale on here recently but it looked like is was for the 4BD1T
