Yep, that’s about right plus a turbo and any head work required. Been doing a bit of research myself as I may have access to one cheapish that needs some work through a mate who’s a truck mechanic. Not sure what I’d do with said engine yet but I have an RRC and 101 so I’m sure I could glue it into something...😉
I’d find a local engine and rebuild it rather than risk one of unknown anything. At least if you buy a rebuilder, you can usually check the crank, etc before purchase - if they won’t let you drop the sump, I’d walk away.
